You are welcome to visit us by appointment (closed Saturdays)
We welcome you to visit our rhododendron nursery and garden by appointment. Here you will find all the rhododendrons you have seen on the website plus many more that we have not listed due to the number that we are carrying in stock. We also stock ornamental trees, standard bay trees, conifers and other woodland plants. If you have a question regarding any of our other plants please ask us.
We are situated between Rotherham and Waiau along the banks of the Waiau River. From the end of the Christchurch motorway it will take you approximately 75 min to drive to our property. While you are visiting us you are welcome to visit other gardens in the area, for more information see below.
Look for the sign
We are 25min before Hanmer Springs, so why not come for a visit and then go on to Hanmer for a hot swim. The sign at the gate says "Waiau Woodland World". Take the main road to Amberley, turn left at Waipara towards Hanmer Springs.
Drive through Culverden, about 1km out of Culverden is a turn to the right sign posted 'Rotherham', 'Waiau', 'Kaikoura'. Turn right and as you go around the corner put on your trip meter, we are 17km down this road.
